Context Assessment English – speaking commonwealth Caribbean Nearshore markets are progressively migrating their economies to benefit from the globalization boom associated with service outsourcing. Recognizing the potential value of the sector, the government of Jamaica established Jamaica Digiport in Montego Bay Free Zone in 1990, and created a statutory framework to mitigate tax liabilities and facilitate service export for contact center, BPO and ICT related companies. eServices Group International (eSGI) represents one of the indigenous successes emerging out of that context.
